Fashion Video - Louis Vuitton 'A Journey'

Louis Vuitton heeft al een tijdje een nieuw thema in hun campagnes, namelijk ‘A Journey’. Dit thema belichaamt de verschillende kanten van reizen. Van letterlijk de wereld intrekken, tot een reis door de wereld van de liefde. De eerste reclamecampagnes zijn al gelanceerd en daarin zijn onder andere Catherine Deneuve, Mikhail Gorbachev, Steffi Graf en Andre Agassi te zien. Maar Louis Vuitton gaat nog een stapje verder. Voor het eerst in haar geschiedenis lanceert het modehuis namelijk een serie tv-commercials die wereldwijd zullen worden uitgezonden op televisie en in bioscopen. ‘We willen niet alleen mensen uit de fashion wereld bereiken maar de perfecte balans vinden tussen fashion en de corporate values van Louis Vuitton,’ aldus Antoine Arnault, hoofd communicatie bij Louis Vuitton. De eerste televisiecommercial is al uitgezonden en de vraag ‘Does the person create the journey, or does the journey create the person?’ staat hierin centraal.

‘What is a journey? A journey is not a trip. It’s not a vacation. It’s a process. A discovery. It’s a process of self-discovery. A journey brings us face to face with ourselves. A journey shows us not only the world, but how we fit in it. Does the person create the journey or does the journey create the person? The journey is life itself.
